After the Giants selected guard Will Hernandez in the second round of this year’s draft, General Manager Dave Gettleman said one of the things that the team likes about the rookie is that he is a cranky player.
That crankiness has manifested itself in a few practice scuffles and has endeared Hernandez to the man he’ll be protecting on passing plays.
Chris Davis (L), 10 percent, Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays (RHP Aaron Sanchez): Davis is always a risk/reward play, but the reward in Saturday’s matchup is substantial. While Davis doesn’t make a lot of contact, he sports a 35 percent hard-hit rate when he does connect, along with a career .356 wOBA and .255 ISO versus right-handed pitching. Sanchez, meanwhile, isn’t missing a ton of bats (7.2 K/9) and has been tattooed by lefty batters this season (.304/.432/.500).

[Alexander] is a little louder than [Jackson] is, but it’s fun to look on the other side of the ball and see those guys making plays.

Hitter ratings account for the opposing starting pitcher’s history (three years’ worth) as well as ballpark factors. LH and RH ratings account only for left- and right-handed batters, respectively.

Ratings range from 1 to 10, with 10 representing the best possible matchup, statistically speaking, and 1 representing the worst. http://www.officialsteelerslockerroom.com/elite-martavis-bryant-jersey For example, a 10 is a must-start rating, while a 1 should be avoided (if possible); a 1-2 is poor, 3-4 is fair, 5-6 is average, 7-8 is very good and 9-10 is excellent.Molina leads Cardinals to 13th straight win over Reds, 6-4
